Judith Collins, New Zealand Minister for Space, and Rocket Lab joined us to celebrate the agreement at IAC.
Synspective Inc., a leading provider of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite data and analytics solutions, announced an expansion of its partnership with Rocket Lab, securing its second multi-launch agreement for 10 additional dedicated Electron launches (Rocket Lab’s launch vehicle). This latest contract secures the launch of 21 StriX SAR satellites in total across multiple missions with Rocket Lab.
In recent years, as global demand for satellite launches has surged, few launch providers can offer the flexibility to accommodate desired launch windows and orbits. Rocket Lab has successfully launched and placed all six StriX series satellites into orbit using its Electron rocket since 2020, demonstrating high reliability. This agreement enables us to pursue planned and stable business development, further enhancing the continuity and reliability of our service.
Motoyuki Arai, founder and CEO of Synspective, commented: “Rocket Lab’s precision and track record have consistently enabled us to stay on schedule and achieve our mission objectives. As we move forward with 21 launches, our continued collaboration is crucial to accelerating the deployment of our SAR satellites and the growth of our contribution to global risk reduction across the domains of security, disaster resilience, and the environment.”
Sir Peter Beck, Rocket Lab founder and CEO, commented: “Regular and reliable launch on a flexible schedule is essential to the buildout of Synspective’s constellation, and Electron has been integral to this from the start as the sole launcher of all StriX satellites in space today. It’s an honor to add another 10 StriX satellites to Electron’s launch manifest and continue our long-standing partnership with Synspective.”
With this contract, Synspective’s launch contracts total 24 vehicles, including 21 with Rocket Lab and 3 with SpaceX. Additionally, Synspective has contracts for 9 vehicles with Exolaunch, which handles launch mission management. Synspective will continue to update the latest launch-related information in press releases and financial results materials.
