Synspective Inc., a provider of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite data and analytics solutions, announced it has entered into a multi-year Strategic Partnership Agreement with e-GEOS (20% Italian Space Agency and 80% Telespazio, part of the Leonardo Group), a leading Italian provider of value-added Earth observation services.
The agreement was formalized at the Embassy of Italy in Tokyo during an institutional ceremony held in the framework of the Italy-Japan Space Dialogues, a bilateral initiative promoted by the two countries’ governments to strengthen cooperation in the space sector. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mario Andrea Vattani, Ambassador of Italy to Japan; H.E. Hikariko Ono, Ambassador of Japan to Italy; Motoyuki Arai, Founder and CEO of Synspective; and C. Milena A. Lerario, CEO of e-GEOS.
Marking a significant milestone in Italian-Japanese space cooperation, Synspective and e-GEOS will jointly develop advanced geospatial intelligence solutions by integrating COSMO-SkyMed and StriX data through the companies’ multi-sensor platforms, analytics algorithms, and value-added processing capabilities. The partnership will expand its joint portfolio and broaden international market access to the companies’ flagship SAR products.

COSMO-SkyMed is the dual-use Earth Observation constellation of the Italian Space Agency and the Italian Ministry of Defence, for which e-GEOS is the exclusive global commercial data distributor. The COSMO-SkyMed satellites support a wide range of applications, including emergency management, security and defence, infrastructure monitoring, maritime surveillance, precision agriculture and ecosystem monitoring.
StriX is Synspective’s small SAR satellite, currently undergoing rapid expansion through regular launches aimed at ensuring enhanced revisit frequency and operational resilience. Its inclined orbital configuration significantly improves monitoring performance over equatorial regions, enabling the development of applications for critical domains such as maritime security, natural resource management and global logistics.
The commercialization rights of value-added products developed under this agreement will also extend to the other companies within the Leonardo Group, contributing to a more integrated industrial offering and enhancing commercial and technological synergies across the entire value chain.
