Synspective Signs 20-Launch Agreement with Rocket Lab
Synspective Inc., a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite data and solutions provider, announced it has signed a multi-year launch agreement with Rocket Lab Corporation, a global leader in launch services and space systems, for 20 dedicated launches on its Electron rocket. The agreement is the largest launch contract in Synspective's history and one of the largest multi-launch agreements Rocket Lab has signed with a single customer. Missions are scheduled from 2028 through 2031.
Rocket Lab has been Synspective's launch partner since 2020 and has successfully launched 13 StriX SAR satellites to date. The agreement secures launch capacity into the early 2030s at a time of intense global demand for dedicated small-launch services, giving Synspective planning certainty as it works to grow its SAR constellation and expand its data and analytics offering for disaster response, national security, and environmental monitoring customers worldwide.
This agreement brings Synspective's total contracted launches with Rocket Lab to 47, 34 of which have yet to fly. Synspective will continue to share updates on its launch program in future press releases and financial disclosures.
Dr. Motoyuki Arai, Synspective founder and CEO, commented: “Electron's precision and reliability have played a central role in steadily scaling our StriX constellation. Through this process, our partnership has grown into something built not only on technical progress but on a deep, team-level trust between us. On behalf of Synspective, I would like to once again express our gratitude for the quality of service, the flexibility, and the truly excellent team behind it. Securing another 20 dedicated launches now gives us long-term certainty for our constellation expansion — a powerful booster toward building the infrastructure needed for a resilient future. We look forward to continuing this journey together.”
Sir Peter Beck, Rocket Lab founder and CEO, commented: "When constellation builders want control over their destiny, they come to Rocket Lab. Synspective was one of Electron’s earliest customers, and together we have proven that tailored, dedicated launch is the fastest and most reliable path to scaling small satellite constellations. Signing 20 launches in a single deal is a massive vote of confidence not just in Electron, but in the launch cadence, mission reliability, and orbital precision that only Rocket Lab can deliver."
