EDGE-PRIME Initiative

The EDGE-PRIME Initiative stands for the Exploration and Development of Global Entrepreneurship for Primary, Middle and High School Students Initiative.

The cross-ministerial project is aimed at expanding opportunities for entrepreneurship education for primary, middle, and high school students across Japan. The project is being led by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) with collaboration withfrom industry and local governments.

Kickoff

On June 3, 2023, the first kickoff event of the project was held at CIC Tokyo (Toranomon Hills Business Tower in Tokyo). 

More than 150 people attended the event including stakeholders from startup hub cities and the private sector, school staff, high school and college students, and youth entrepreneurship ambassadors. Also, over 250 people from all over the country attended online.

Keynote speech

During the event, Motoyuki and five other ambassadors participated in keynote speeches and panel discussions. They reflected on their personal journeys and turning points in their careers, and shared messages of encouragement to the young individuals who will shape the future.
